AFFIRM is a youth group that affirms the inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community and welcomes diverse beliefs. Meetings are held at St. Timothy's United Methodist Church as part of the Children and Youth Ministry. AFFIRM leadership also includes representatives from the Cedar Valley LGBTQ+ Coalition. Friends of the Coalition is a community support program that promotes involvement in the Cedar Valley LGBTQ+ Coalition through monetary donations. These gifts go directly toward funding programming and annual events that affirm our mission to cultivate spaces where people feel affirmed in their identity and supported in their growth. These trainings are offered to the public throughout the year as a form of education surrounding LGBTQ+ identities and related topics. Typically, the sessions are broken down into two parts with increasing depth and application of concepts learned.
